Viacom18 relaunches Rishtey Cineplex

In a new avatar, the movie channel will go live starting 5th June 2020

It will offer blockbuster movies from its content library including 500+ titles

The powerhouse of holistic movie entertainment, Rishtey Cineplex, is set to return starting 5th June 2020. Staying true to its brand promise ‘Filmein Must Hai’, the channel will air a slew of choicest movies spanning across different genres and films dubbed in Hindi from regional markets. The 500 + robust movie library will be available on DD Freedish and soon after on major cable and DTH platforms.

Relaunching after 15 months, Rishtey Cineplex, in its erstwhile avatar enjoyed immense popularity and was ranked number 1 amongst the top Hindi movie channels [*BARC India Data : HSM (U+R) 2+, Wk 50’18 to Wk 9’19]. Targeted at HSM markets, Rishtey Cineplex aims to satiate the audience’s movie palette with a mix of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and Bhojpuri movies dubbed in Hindi. Strengthening its content repository, it will be armed with a movie library of 1500+ hours, including 500+ unique titles and plans to host two movie festivals and a premiere every month.

With Rishtey Cineplex’s relaunch, Viacom18 will further expand its movie portfolio gaining a significant presence in the Hindi Movie space, with a unique set of movie catalogues for both COLORS Cineplex and Rishtey Cineplex. Tune in to Channel 38 on DD Freedish for a ‘Filmein Must Hai’ experience starting 5th June 2020.

The ninth film from the renowned filmmaker Quentin Tarantino visits 1969 Los Angeles, where an actor and a stuntman make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The movie offers viewers with moments of drama, comedy and a flavour of fame in its story. To witness this epic journey, watch the Hindi Television Premiere on 5th June, Friday at 10 pm.

Dil Juunglee (World Television Premiere) : 13th June at 9 pm

Starring Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem, the 2018 romantic comedy revolves around the love and friendship shared between Sumit and Karoli along with the big and small nuances of a relationship. Beyond the Clouds (World Television Premiere) : 20th June at 10 pm

Directed by the Academy Award nominee Iranian director Majid Majidi, the movie narrates a heart-warming tale of a brother and sister, and their quest to find happiness despite separation and turbulent times. The film celebrates the little joys of life with Mumbai city as its backdrop. Striking a chord with the viewers with their spectacular performance is the debutante Ishaan Khatter along with Malavika Mohanan. The movie’s soul stirring soundtrack is written and composed by the award-winning musician, A.R Rahman. Commando 3 : 27th June at 8 pm

Get ready to go into an action mode with the third installment of the finest action franchise, Commando. Directed by Aditya Datt, Commando 3 revolves around Commando Karanveer Singh Dogra who goes undercover with the encounter specialist Bhavana Reddy for an anti-terrorist mission in London. Jumanji – The Next Level : 28th June at 12 noon

WARC Awards 2020 - Effective Use of Brand Purpose winners announced

Airbnb Creative wins Grand Prix for The Country Pub Project in Australia

Campaigns for global brands including Airbnb, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Finish, Harpic and L'Oréal, as well as local brands such as Hungarian Telekom, Maxis in Malaysia and The Times of India, are among the winners in the Effective Use of Brand Purpose category of the WARC Awards, a global search for next-generation marketing effectiveness.

16 campaigns from around the world - one Grand Prix, four Golds, six Silvers and five Bronzes - have won in the Effective Use of Brand Purpose category, rewarding marketing initiatives that have successfully embraced a brand purpose and achieved commercial success as well as a benefit for a wider community.

Airbnb Creative, APAC, has won the Grand Prix for The Country Pub Project. In Australia, Airbnb regained its position as the most popular booking site by creating a project to support rural communities by boosting the country pub, a gathering point for struggling country towns. The campaign used a combination of public policy, paid media, earned media and owned channels in a three-stage strategy to reach more than 15 million people, achieve over 30m video views, and drive increased brand favourability and awareness.

Three special awards have also been given in specific areas of excellence:

Evaluation Award, for a brand purpose strategy that has gone the extra mile in measuring both commercial and societal impact, has been awarded to FCB India for The Times of India's Out & Proud - India Comes Out of the Closet campaign. The newspaper sparked a nationwide movement to normalise LGBTQ with a special Out and Proud classifieds section.

Employee Engagement Award, rewarding a purpose-led strategy that is consistent both inside and outside an organisation, has been awarded to FP7 McCann Dubai for The Gift of Mom campaign for children's retailer Babyshop, which increased brand affinity through a multi-channel Mother's Day initiative centred around breast cancer in the United Arab Emirates.

Sustainability Award, for a brand that has replaced a strategy or business practice with a more sustainable alternative and can prove that it has contributed to long-term brand health, has been awarded to Santa Clara for Native Bees, a campaign for Brazilian craft beer brand Cervejeria Colorado, which highlighted the problem of bee extinction to publicise its production chain and brand values.

Seema joins Hike at an exciting new chapter for the startup, as it is closer to unveiling HikeLand, enabling a new social future. Seema comes with over 20 years of multi-vertical experience; having launched multiple new brands and products in the course of her career across Disney, Ajio.com, Mattel, and Hotstar. Seema’s appointment is in line with Hike’s plan to strengthen teams across product, design, marketing, AI & ML, engineering, partner functions, and user research with multiple hiring initiative.
