Business Today India@100 Economy Summit

As India reflects upon its achievements in 75 years of Independence, it is time to take forward the trajectory of the economy’s phenomenal growth, create the right policies and introduce the right levers to achieve greater heights.

To chart the growth path of the next 25 years and achieve global leadership position for the Indian economy, Business Today presents the India@100 Economy Summit – Achieving Global Leadership, on August 26, 2002 at the Taj Mahal hotel in New Delhi.

The day-long summit will cover a variety of subjects that will help formulate a blueprint for sustainable and inclusive economic growth, and help achieve India’s global leadership goal in the next 25 years.

Top leaders from the political, administrative and corporate spheres will come together to discuss, debate and help create a framework of sustained growth for India over the next 25 years.

Some of the leaders from the government and corporate world who will be speaking at the event are: Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways; Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel; Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship; R.K. Singh, Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy; Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics and IT; Congress party leader Shashi Tharoor; and Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder and Chairman, Bharti Enterprises.

Top economists will debate on how the Indian economy can be shepherded through a battle-strewn world. The economists include N.K. Singh, Chairman, 15th Finance Commission; Ramesh Chand, Member, NITI Aayog; Rajiv Kumar, Chairman, Pahle India Foundation and Former Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog; and Ajit Ranade, VC, Gokhale Institute of Politics & Economics.

The summit will also host stellar panels and fireside chats with industry leaders on subjects ranging from harnessing technology to understanding the evolving consumer to getting India’s manufacturing act right, to empowering MSMEs for growth, to muscling up India’s act on ESG, among several other subjects.
