To add a touch of realism, influencers, and comedians have been brought onboard to showcase real-life situations from the life of Vijay Salgaoekar. The channel has designed a special Drishyam 360-degree interrogation that will engage consumers in solving the case on different digital platforms, keeping in mind the plot of the movie. The closing ceremony of Mathrubhumi's centenary celebrations will be conducted on March 18 at the CIAL Convention Centre in Kochi.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the valedictory functions at 10.30 am on March 18. Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Singh Thakur will unveil the souvenir at the event.

Ministers K Rajan and P Rajeev, Opposition leader VD Satheesan, writer C Radhakrishnan, MPs Benny Behanan, Jose K Mani, Jeby Mather, and Anwar Sadat MLA will offer felicitations. MV Shreyams Kumar, managing director, Mathrubhumi, will preside over the event. The one-year-long centenary celebrations were kick-started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 18, 2022.

Mathrubhumi was born in 1923 as part of the Freedom Struggle , which was spearheaded by Mahatma Gandhi. A team of eminent personalities, including KP Kesava Menon, K Madhavan Nair, and Kuroor Neelakandan Namboothiripad, founded Mathrubhumi under the guidance of Gandhiji. Mathrubhumi never wavered in its relentless fight against the colonial forces. The Mahatma used to describe Mathrubhumi as his own newspaper. The daily has been led by the motto ' freedom, equality and liberty from the very beginning. Mathrubhumi always adhered to democratic values in every walk of life, sustaining the overarching spirit of the renaissance. The newspaper scaled greater heights under the leadership of the late MP Veerendrakumar, the former managing director.

Mathrubhumi has never been lethargic to the changing times. The Daily takes extreme care in fighting misinformation and disinformation, upholding its reputation as the most credible newspaper in Malayalam. Presently, Mathrubhumi Daily is printed from 14 locations in India (Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Kochi, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi). Our first overseas edition started printing from Dubai in March 2013.

New York Festivals® TV & Film Awards 2023 competition announced the Shortlist. This year's TV & Film Awards competition received entries across 14 category groups from 43 countries worldwide from Argentina to Qatar to the United Kingdom.

Captivating content created by storytellers and filmmakers from around the world was judged online by NYF's TV & Film Awards Grand Jury panel.

Shortlisted entries included content in primetime entertainment, documentaries, investigative journalism, sports coverage, promos, streaming media, and brand image films.

For 2023 NYF will award the second annual WaterBear Award. The prestigious WaterBear Award honors the highest scoring documentary across the Climate Change & Sustainability, Environment & Ecology, and Nature & Wildlife categories. WaterBear Network's CEO Ellen Windemuth, TV & Film Awards Advisory Board and Executive Producer of My Octopus Teacher will select the winner of this exclusive award.

All Entries in the 2023 competition were screened and judged online by the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards Grand Jury of 200+ producers, directors, writers, and other creative media professionals from around the globe.

2023's award-winning entries will be announced during the New York Festivals 2023 Storytellers Gala virtual event taking place on April 18th at 6PM EST.

Havas Creative India has announced the appointment of Anirban Mozumdar as Chief Strategy Officer, closely on the heels of the appointment of Tarun Jha as the Chief Executive Officer.

Anirban moves from Ogilvy India’s 82.5 Communications, where he was the Chief Strategy Officer since June 2021.

Anirban will lead the strategy function of Havas Creative India. Based out of the Gurgaon village, he will work closely with Tarun and Anupama Ramaswamy, CCO, Havas Worldwide India, as well as the leaders of the 4 creative agencies, Havas Worldwide India (Mumbai/Gurgaon/Bangalore), Havas CX India (Customer Experience), Conran Design Group Mumbai (Branding & Design) and Havas QED (Kolkata). He will also ensure an effective implementation of Havas Group’s Meaningful Brands framework for brand and business solutions.

Anirban is a seasoned brand strategist and consultant with over 25 years of experience in the advertising and branding industry. A post-graduate from MICA, he began his career in the Leo Burnett network where he worked for over 10 years. In addition to his role in India, he was also a Regional Lead for P&G Laundry brands based in the Philippines, where he spent 2 years working on brands including Tide, Fab, and Mr. Clean. Through his career Anirban built a versatile experience working across several sectors including Automobiles, Consumer Electronics and FMCG, amongst others. In 2012, he turned into an entrepreneur and founded his own company. He was also the CEO of Chlorophyll Brand and Communications Consultancy. In his previous role as Chief Strategy Officer for 82.5 Communications, Anirban led new multiple business wins and worked on brands such as TCS, Havells, Himalaya, Bisleri, ITC, and several others. Outside the work sphere, Anirban also writes poetry and is a technology enthusiast. Currently, he is also exploring spirituality and learning new languages.
